The mortar-calculator is based on the ingame "range-table"... wait for it...

Not yet, but read first...: Values between are calculated by linear interpolation, which is a rough estimation in respect to the real trajectory but should work.
There we go:... and on map sizes i got from screenshots by myself:
[name, path used here, size in m ] ['Albasrah', 'albasrah_minimap_10', '3199'], ['Belaya', 'Belaya_Minimap_10', '3910'], ['Chora Valley', 'Chora1_Minimap_10', '4078'], ['Fools Road', 'Fools_Road_v1_Minimap_10', '1732'], ['Gorodok', 'gorodok_minimap_10', '4320'], ['Jensens Range', 'Jensens_Range_Minimap_10', '1503'], ['Kohat Toi River Valley', 'kohat_minimap_10', '3999'], ['Kokan', 'kokan_minimap_10', '2489'], ['Logar Valley', 'logarvalley_minimap_10', '1763'], ['Mestia', 'Mestia_Minimap1_10', '2393'], ['Narva', 'Narva_Minimap_10', '2790'], ['OP First Light', 'forest_minimap_10', '1201'], ['Sumari Bala', 'sumari_overlay_10', '1298'], ['Yehorivka', 'yehorivka_minimap_10', '4029']

In the left corner, outside the map, there are a red (target) and a blue (mortar) marker. Drag and drop the blue marker on the ingame position of the mortar and set the red marker on the target.
The circle around the blue marker shows the maximum range.
By left-clicking on the blue marker a tooltip opens. Every time the red marker is moved, the firing-solution (Direction, Elevation, Distance) is updated in the tooltip.
There are plenty of such calculators out in the wild and they are all doing the job very well, but i like to mention two:
